The UPS system provides reliable backup power supply for data centers. In most data centers, the loss of UPS systems can account for about 10% of the energy consumption of the entire data center. Therefore, improving the reliability of UPS systems and reducing their losses are the core factors of the UPS power system architecture of data centers.
In order to reduce the floor space, high-density cabinets are becoming increasingly widely used. As capacity continues to increase, UPS power distribution monitoring solutions are flexible and efficient, the number of UPS output circuits continues to increase, and the current size is also increasing accordingly.
Since the UPS input and output cabinets have many power supply circuits, the traditional solution of installing multi-function meters is not aesthetically pleasing and inconvenient for later operation and maintenance. Our company has developed a power distribution monitoring solution specifically for UPS input and output cabinets based on its application scenarios. The solution uses a human-machine interface for centralized display, which is more convenient and quicker for later operation and maintenance management.
01 Solution
The UPS input and output cabinet adopts the BCM101-M2B module for the incoming circuit, which monitors the full power of two three-phase incoming circuits. The outgoing circuit is equipped with one BCM101-S10C module, which can monitor 10 three-phase outgoing circuits.
At the same time, a BCM101-HMI human-machine interface is configured to complete the basic electrical quantity data of the three-phase circuit electrical parameters of the incoming and outgoing lines, neutral voltage, electrical energy data, power grid quality, harmonic data, demand data, extreme value data, switch status monitoring and over-limit alarm, and display them centrally.
